A Note From Your Principal:
Welcome to
LaPoynor
Elementary School.
We have many exciting things happening at the elementary campus.
The faculty and staff are very excited about the 2009-2010 school year.
We were rated an Exemplary Campus by the Texas Education Agency for the
2008-2009 school year. The teachers
and students worked very hard all year to obtain this very distinguished honor.
I am very proud of each student and staff member who was a part of our
tremendously successful year.
We began a construction-renovation project last spring.
An amazing transformation has occurred on our campus and we are extremely
proud of our newly renovated classrooms for Second grade, Third grade, Special
Education, Computer lab and Science lab.
Our work continues on the new building that will be ready next spring for
Pre – K, Kindergarten, First grade, Second grade and Title I.
We hope that you will come by and visit our campus.
There will be opportunities throughout the year for family and community
members to take part in activities in our district.
Please continue to encourage our students to do their best – every
positive word can make a difference.
