2020 LAPOYNOR TRYOUT DANCE
Know the dance to counts and then perform to music. This dance will be to different music for clinic/tryouts, so just follow along for now to get down your speed, but know that this is NOT the music that you will perform with. We will practice with our actual music during clinic. Please be aware that we will NOT learn any of this dance at clinic! Cheer clinic is only to perfect what we already have learned at home. Do NOT procrastinate. Learning a cheerleading dance will take more than a couple of hours.

2020 LAPOYNOR TRYOUT CHEER
Know both ripples in the cheer. You will be assigned a certain part at clinic! Make sure to be sharp throughout the cheer and practice doing the cheer with a toe touch (since that is what you will perform for tryouts). Practice saying the words loud and with confidence!
2020 LAPOYNOR TRYOUT CHANT
Make sure to be sharp throughout the chant. You will perform it in 2-2-2 style (spiriting/saying the words twice, performing the chant twice, then spiriting/saying the words twice). Practice the spiriting with fillers (go Flyers, can’t hear you, etc.). We will review more of this at cheer clinic.
2020 LAPOYNOR FIGHT SONG
The key to rocking the Fight Song is not looking tired and winded by the end. Be sharp with your motions and make sure to know the timing perfectly! Most put off learning the fight song and it shows at tryouts! Remember, every aspect of cheer tryouts counts! Get all the points you can!
