When?
Cheer/Mascot Clinic: Sunday, March 29th from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Monday, March 30th (Mock Tryouts) from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Cheer/Mascot Tryouts: Wednesday, April 1st starting at 4:15 pm

Where?
Clinic and tryouts will be held in the Elementary gym.
Absolutely no spectators (family or friends) are allowed to attend clinic or tryouts.

What Do I Wear?
Shorts/athletic leggings, t-shirt/tank top, tennis shoes and hair pulled back out of your face. No jewelry should be worn.

Am I Eligible to Tryout for Cheer/Mascot?
I will be checking grade eligibility and disciplinary standing on the 3rd nine weeks report card (March 26th). Cheer/Mascot candidates can not have been in ISS (more than one time), suspended, or sent to AEP within the current school year.

Important Information:
Applicants MUST complete this parent permission form/tryout application by Sunday, March 29th at 4:00 pm in order to be eligible for cheer/mascot clinic and tryouts. Attendance is mandatory for the entire cheer/mascot clinic in order to be eligible for tryouts! Acceptable excuses include a funeral (with paperwork), sick (with doctors note), or conflict with other LaPoynor event. Applicants will be required to learn and perform the fight song, one dance, one cheer, and one chant during cheer clinic/tryouts. Mascots will be required to create and perform one skit for cheer clinic/tryouts. The estimated cost of cheer is around $650 per cheerleader! $300 of this cost will be due Monday, April 20th by 3:30 pm! Your remaining balance will be due Tuesday, May 26th by 3:30 pm. Pre-Tryout Mandatory Parent Cheer Meeting:
Sunday, March 29th at 7:30 pm OR
Monday, March 30th at 7:30 pm
*Parents must attend one of the mandatory meetings, but not both.
