Let's give a huge shout out to two of the hardest working members of our school family: Mr. Gary and Mr. Mark.
Whether it’s fixing a problem before most of us even notice it, keeping our campus safe and clean, or stepping in with a helping hand and a smile, they keep our school running smoothly every single day. Their dedication, pride in their work, and care for our students and staff make a tremendous difference.

Congratulations to our LaPoynor cheer squad who competed in the UIL cheer competition in January. This team worked incredibly hard and their dedication truly showed in their performance. We are so proud of the spirit, energy, and determination they brought to the mat.
And a very special shoutout goes to their fearless leader, Ms. Kiley Nachtrieb, for her guidance, encouragement, and commitment to our cheerleaders. Thank you for leading with heart and Flyer pride.

On Friday, January 30th, LaPoynor held its 2nd annual Passing the School Spirit ceremony, one of our most meaningful growing traditions.
Seniors and kindergarten students lined up on opposite sides of the basketball court, then joined hands and walked toward each other to pass along school spirit items such as beads, rally rags, and other Flyer pride keepsakes. This symbolic moment represents the connection between our oldest and youngest Flyers and the pride that continues from one class to the next.
Our kindergarten students were thrilled to meet the big kids and learn about the importance of school pride. Their excitement and smiles captured the true heart of our LaPoynor family.
School spirit grows when we share it, and this ceremony is a beautiful reminder of what it means to be a LaPoynor Flyer. 💜🤍✈️

We had our Senior Pep Rally on Friday, February 6th. LaPoynor STUCO planned a great event with a fun game for our senior class. Seniors played a game of “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and DIPLOMA!” The fastest person to grab their diploma was the winner, and senior Savannah Reynolds came out on top!
Basketball Coaches Coach Reid and Coach Stephens highlighted their players and encouraged everyone to come out and support senior night. Our cheerleaders also did an amazing job performing for the crowd.
Overall, it was a fantastic pep rally filled with Flyer pride! Let’s keep the spirit strong as we celebrate our seniors.

⭐ RJ Thaw: I am so proud of RJ. She is such an outstanding example of resilience. She has shown us all how to deal well with circumstances out of our control, lean on God when we don't understand, and just keep working to be our best.
⭐ Luke Johnson always strives to do his best. He works very hard in class, even when the concepts and skills are challenging to him. He has an attitude of perseverance. He does not give up!
⭐ McKenna Cook is a ray of sunshine and helpful to all! She always gives her time and is a true friend to all.

LaPoynor held its Senior Night for our basketball players and cheerleaders on Friday, February 6th. We were proud to recognize our seniors for their commitment, leadership, and hard work.
We are proud of all our seniors and grateful for the leadership they bring to LaPoynor athletics. Congratulations to each of them on an unforgettable Senior Night.

Our LaPoynor Elementary campus celebrated the 100th day of school on Monday, February 9th. Students had such a fun time showing their creativity by dressing up as a 100 year old or wearing fun one hundred themed outfits. It was a wonderful milestone to celebrate together!

Our Lady Flyers played with grit and determination but came up short against the Marlin Lady Bulldogs in the Area Playoff game. The final score was 55–47, bringing an end to a five game winning streak.
We could not be more proud of this group of girls and their coaches! Their hard work, teamwork, and heart made this season one to remember. Congratulations to our Lady Flyers on a fantastic year!
